Free First Friday FT/The Rotisserie Chickens W/Aaron Stephens and Mystery Loves Company

March 4, 2016 @ 7:30 pm

THE ROTISSERIE CHICKENS – It’s what you get when you take a couple of guys from an indie folk band, mix them with a couple of guys from a metal band, and throw in a couple of guys who play trumpet and trombone. They are a six-piece ska band from a northern suburb of Dallas, TX and they’re coming back to Bryan on 3/4.

Aaron Stephens

Born in Illinois, raised in South Texas, Aaron Stephens stormed into the Austin music landscape while wrapping up college in nearby San Marcos. His debut full-length album released in June 2014 to critics’ delight (#9 on Lone Star Music Magazine’s ‘Top 10 Americana Albums of 2014’) and wowed crowds with a diverse, genre-bending act; Americana roots with a dash of blues, all while evoking a Stevie Wonder-esque soul.
Aaron Stephens has played in historic venues such as Gruene Hall, Continental Club, and an appearance at the Luckenbach Blues Festival at the infamous dancehall, and supported notable acts such as Leon Bridges, Cody Canada & the Departed, Uncle Lucius. He is currently working on an EP set for Winter ’15 release, tentatively titled ‘When The Morning Comes’.
