Mic Check Poetry Presents SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT 2016

Speak Up Speak Out is an annual youth poetry slam hosted by Mic Check Poetry in Downtown Bryan, Texas every summer offering a total of $850 in prize money. SUSO invites youth poetry teams from across the country to compete with their original poetry in preparation for the international youth slam, Brave New Voices.
Our goal in hosting SUSO is to offer a stage for youth voices and encourage them to know that their voice is important. SUSO is a great opportunity for youth poets to grow in not only their art, but in who they are as people. We hope to build a better sense of community for these rising artists as they further their way into the world of Spoken Word.
Registration is now: OPEN. If you and your slam scene are interested in competing, you can register through EventBrite for $60 (and a convenience fee of about $4). Registration closes once all spots are taken, so hurry before you miss your chance to compete.
