Summer Foreign Film Series Presents: Chocolat

June 8, 2014 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm

A Chocolat Experience

Grand Stafford Theater is proud to announce our Summer Foreign Film Series. Every second Sunday throughout the summer, Grand Stafford will feature an immersive film experience, complete with insightful commentary, culinary delights suited to the film and music to top off an afternoon of summer entertainment. We will be kicking off the series with the showing of Chocolat on June 8th from 3 pm – 7 pm. Chef Ken Wilkinson of Cocoamoda Chocolate Boutique in Calvert, TX will be joining the event, providing a sweet culinary selection that is certain to delight the senses.

Cocoamoda is a chocolate boutique and gourmet restaurant owned by Chef Ken Wilkinson, an England native. Wilkinson moved to Houston, Texas in the 1980’s to host “Cable Cookery”, a television program dedicated to the French Cuisine. After his time in Houston, he moved to the small town of Calvert, Texas to pursue his dream of opening a chocolate factory. The chocolates created by Chef Ken are not your ordinary Hershey’s chocolate, but a divine truffle crafted with only the world’s finest chocolate.

Join Grand Stafford Theater and Cocoamoda as we enter into a quaint French village whose quiet conservative ways are challenged by Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche) and her young daughter when they open a chocolate shop just as lent begins. Come see, hear, smell, and taste the sweet experience June 8th. Get your tickets now at Grand Stafford Theater’s website or purchase them at SEAD Gallery today. Not familiar with Cocoamoda’s fine chocolate truffles? Stop by SEAD Gallery to try a decadent treat.
