Mission Dorado is a dynamic, eclectic, mercurial indie folk-rock quartet from Texas. The band takes typical folk song structures and warps them, with a penchant for heavy grooves and psychedelic guitar-laden soundscapes. The group’s principal songwriter assembled the initial lineup to record the first full-length LP, Trey Brown & Mission Dorado, recording and mixing start-to-finish to 2″ tape without the use of computers. This record helped to define the band’s developing style, highlighting Brown’s adept lyricism and lush, thoughtful arrangements. Mission Dorado takes a different turn with their newest release, Yannash Nahollo. Here, while recalling some of the strengths of previous work, Mission Dorado explores new musical territory with renewed confidence and perspective. Psychedic, moody, pensive, ecstatic, hypnotic – this collection of Mission Dorado songs proves to be entrancing, indelible, and will surely leave you wanting more.

The Bluebird Specials
The Bluebird Specials are two Missourians and a Pacific Northwesterner who met in a cat house in Big Sky Country. After burning it down they high-tailed it to Austin, Texas where they traded in their garters for sweet harmonies and hawked their wedding rings for musical instruments.
