HONEST MEN
Formed in 2015 in Waco, Texas, Honest Men crafted their bright indie rock sound on the heels of winning the battle of the bands at their college alma mater, Baylor University. Singer Seth Findley, guitarist Brooks Whitehurst, and drummer Zach Solomon spent the next six months honing their sound and playing shows in their home state before adding bassist Nathan Wallace to the lineup the same winter.
With a collection of songs mixing 80’s tinged synth-pop with guitar-forward indie rock, Honest Men headed to Nashville in the summer of 2016 to record their debut EP, “Okay Dreamer”, which self-released the following January. Hallmarked by the lead single “Colors” and reminiscent of such bands as The Killers, Young the Giant, and WALK THE MOON, the band headlined the EP and their energetic live show all over Texas for the next year as well as supporting acts such as Smash Mouth, COIN, Colony House, Kings Kaleidoscope, Elephante and more.
2018 saw the band relocate to Austin, Texas and record a follow up to 2017’s debut. “Honest Men”, the self-titled EP, released worldwide in May 2018, showcases a much more polished and versatile sound for the band, anchored by vibrant singles such as “Mad Love”, “I’m Okay”, and “Rose”.
2017 and 2018 were formative years for the band, honing their sound, crafting a buzz-worthy live show, and a long list of firsts. With no signs of slowing down, Honest Men continues to write music and play shows across the US.
VACATION MANOR
Since releasing their first EP, Girl, Say, in 2016 and the follow-up single, “Fading,” in 2017, Vacation Manor has accrued more than 5 million Spotify streams and performed their unique brand of warm, bright, heartfelt musings around the Midwest and East Coast, including opening for acts such as The Lone Bellow, Dawes, Colony House, Dave Barnes, Magic Man, and more. It’s also possible you’ve heard some of the group’s songs in Starbucks, Gap, and Banana Republic.
The band’s latest album, Everything I Can’t Say Out Loud (releasing September 2018), was recorded live to 2-inch tape, capturing the four-piece’s imaginative and tight-knit feel, by producer/engineer Charlie Stavish (Ryan Adams, Foster the People, Imagine Dragons) in Joshua Tree, California.
Vacation Manor’s charming, chiming tunes include summery anthems and nostalgic autumnal afternoon vibes that will work on you year round — honest and reflective songs of romantic hopefulness, longing, loss, and rebirth — all told with earnest vocals, precise-yet-sparkling guitar hooks, soulful synth-scapes, dance-worthy drum and bass rhythms, and choruses both catchy and thoughtful.
