Drawing from personal experience and the experiences of those around him, as well as looking at the world through his own looking glass, James crafts songs about love, loss, joy, pain, hate, and occasionally…optimism. This doesn’t mean to imply that he’s not fun to be around. In fact, James can normally be found with a smile on his face. With roots in traditional country music, but not content to stay in one place for too long, his music runs the gamut from country, to roots rock, folk, R&B, & Americana. Simply put: It just depends on his mood & time of day, as to what may surface musically. From San Antonio, by way of Sinton TX, James has been playing music in the bars & clubs in TX for close to 20 yrs. If you’re looking for a dancehall band that will swing from the rafters and sing songs about floating rivers and drinking beer…you’d better search somewhere else. But if honest songwriting, with thought and effort placed in to music and lyrics and musicians conscious of the audience and their presence, then don’t be afraid to stick around and listen.
