Intelligent music with integrity is not a genre because not many songwriters would fit into that category. You can call it what you want, Americana, folk, roots rock, some that are not in touch even call it country rock. But if you haven’t heard him, you need to; because if you like the forementioned genres it’s all that and more. In Mark Jungers’ world, country, roots rock, folk, blues and bluegrass music are not mutually exclusive. Gutsy, unpretentious music filled with spirit and spontaneity is what you’ll find whether Mark is playing solo, duo, or with a full band.

GEOFF SPAHR

So what do you write in a section like this that hasn’t been written before. Same ol’ story, just a little further down the line. In short, Geoff is originally from is Houston, went to college at Texas A&M, continues to reside in Bryan/College Station, has a wonderful wife, 2 daughters, and a son, that mean the world to him. While in college, Geoff started playing the guitar and that was the “turn at Alberquque”, as he continues to do so.
The years since have included full band touring shows, booking agents, many roach motel nights, empty houses, full houses, shows that suck, shows that rock, acoustic shows, 3 peice shows, 2 full length albums, some decent regional radio play, a new (used) van, a broken van, a fixed van, then again broken van. Great friends, brothers, experiences, passion, tears, fights, and fun. What else can you say about music?
Now the majority of shows have evolved to a more laid back acoustic style with a smooth delivery. The years and shows of experience are evident and hopefully a new album will soon be available. Come on out and listen, grab a beer, and keep the party goin.
