Diamond Plate is a Texas-music, four-piece band that performs original music as well as favorites. Diamond Plate reboot of Dennis Phillips’ original band concept formerly known as Redneck Jedi, with a bit more Texas original music. “We have always done our own thing, Redneck Jedi saw some real success and taught me the business,” said Phillips, “What won’t kill you makes you stronger, that is why the name Diamond Plate, we are stronger in every aspect.

Redneck Jedi did see it’s share of success with former front man Jeff Foeh, Phillips turned out hit after hit on the Texas Chart for more than a decade. “We just reached a point that said we had gone as far as we could together,” remarked Phillips, “Jeff has his own thing, and we worked so well together, this is a new direction for him as well as for myself.”

Diamond Plate is now comprised of some very talented musicians that are working on a singular goal, a new CD. “I learned a lot from the previous recording sessions with Jedi, now it is time to take it up a notch or two,” said Phillips. The new CD titled, “Stronger” is set for a December 2013 release date and the band is performing the new cuts now including “Old Heroes” a tribute to a fallen soldier that lived down the block from Phillips. “Lottery” a whimsical track that is asking God for a little luck, and “In My Own,” a single written by Dusty Durham, Timmy Kliene and Phillips that reflects on loyalty, commitment and the cost.

“We are excited about the new CD, we have some really strong songs but as important a cohesive collection that feels like it all belongs on a record together,” said Phillips.
