Alex Riddle’s debut EP, Happy Daggers, was commended by the Houston Press in its monthly Best Houston Music feature as “versatile, eclectic, and polished.” The 3-track EP, released in April 2016, showcases his range and “robust musical background,” opening with Truth Fairy—a muscular rock’n’roll tour-de-force— then moving to pensive acoustic balladry with Hosting Ghosts, and closing with an exuberant cover of the Bjork classic Hyperballad.

Since releasing Happy Daggers, Alex has taken Houston by storm, culminating with a Houston Press Music Award nomination in November 2016. He has shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as Big Thief, Lucy Dacus, and Seratones. Alex was one of 10 artists chosen from among over 100 submissions to be featured in the first annual Wicked Music Showcase in October 2016, and his live performances have garnered repeated mention in Free Press Houston’s Best of the Week. In the coming months, he’ll build momentum, playing dates around Texas, and recording and releasing the follow-up to last year’s EP.

Bang Bangz is a 4 piece dream-pop, synth influenced band that delivers an intoxicating mix of surreal and transcendent songs. Their ethereal sounds have been compared to the likes of M83, Gorillaz, and Washed Out. The band creates an undeniable vocal dynamic that swirl together into a truly arresting sound.
