A college athletic scholarship, seven surgeries, and a full-time job laid the foundation for Katye Hamlin’s journey as a songwriter and drove her to keep pursuing her true passion: music.

Born and raised in Bryan/College Station, country music has always been at her roots. Katye’s diverse taste in genres inspired her sound and songwriting, creating a unique, soulful/bluesy texture and tone. She grew up covering greats like Patsy Cline and Bonnie Raitt, which influences can be heard in her music. So far in her journey, Katye performed for Nashville record labels and top executives at CMT along with sharing the stage with artists like Tracy Lawrence, John Conlee, Johnny Lee, Jack Ingram and more. Her first EP was recorded at Station West (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Allison Krause) in Nashville last fall and mastered by the world renown Andrew Mendelson. Her first single,”Love is Like Rain,” will hit radio in May. From Texas to Nashville, she’s busting down doors and chasing her dream, all so far as an independent female artist. She is so proud to represent Texas women in country music and is excited to see what God has in store for the future.
