The Background w/ Red Box Harbor & The Feeble Contenders

THE BACKGROUND
The Background are an American rock band who thrive from a well thought out DIY strategy. Based in the heart of Dallas, TX, the band is comprised of singer-songwriter Shaun Gunnels, guitarist Kris Trevino, guitarist James Gonzalez, bassist Sean Bottoms, and drummer Ray Baumgratz. The band spent time honing their craft in their local music scene as well as logging shows regionally & releasing the ‘Your Friends’ EP to the masses in 2011. Recently, the band released new singles “Okay” (June 26, 2012) and “Hands Up” (November 13, 2012). The Background garnered attention in Texas by playing shows with NeverShoutNever, Mae, Action Item, Set It Off, Cady Groves, Eisley, Lydia, This Providence, The Dangerous Summer, Sparks The Rescue, and I Call Fives along with SXSW 2012 and Six Flags Over Texas in August 2012. The five-piece will continue their momentum into 2013 with a new single, “Take It Slow”. They will release it on January 29, 2013 along with a music video to follow. The band will also spend time writing new songs for an extended play release later in the year.

We are Red Box Harbor. Our band consists of Zachary Golden, Jeremiah Turner, and Mark Schroeder. We are from Houston,Texas!
