RANDY PAVLOCK

It is said that “everything is bigger in Texas,” and with a talent as large as the state itself, musician Randy Pavlock easily breathes new life into the legend. Musically based in Austin, Randy proudly hails from Navasota, “The Blues Capital of Texas.” Together with the band, Twenty Four Seven, this brilliant young guitar slinger delivers the very best in hard-driving, yet heartfelt original Texas bluesrock! A self-taught and multi-dimensional guitarist, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and engineer, Randy has displayed his enormous wealth of talents throughout the globe. He has played amongst a musical who’s who of such stellar performers asPaul Rogers, Tommy Shannon, members of The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Joe Bonamassa, Omar & The Howlers, Coco Montoya, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Shemekia Copeland, to name a few. He has opened for music greats like David Allen Coe, Eddie Money and worked side-by-side with the late, legendary Buddy Miles (of Jimi Hendrix/Band of Gypsys and Santana fame). The seed that was planted deeply within this musical prodigy began to sprout at the ripe old age of seven, when he began to play an old guitar that belonged to his father. When an unknown illness nearly claimed his life at the tender age of fifteen, a near-death experience helped to shape his musical destiny from a more mature and philosophical perspective. Often sharing his views on life with his audience, Randy thoughtfully states, “I didn’t choose music, music chose me.” He goes on to say that, “Without a doubt, God and music saved my life.” Now armed with a vision, spirituality and wisdom that belie his years, Randy has spent more than a decade honing his musical talents under the inspirational tutelage of the greats who helped blaze the blues trail before him. Influences have included such luminaries as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Little Milton, Willie Dixon, Willie Nelson, John Fogerty, and perhaps most notably, friend and mentor, Buddy Miles. Randy had the privilege of collaborating closely on not only what was to become Buddy’s last recording, but he also was a featured guitarist on his farewell tour during the fall of 2007. Today, Randy crosses professional paths with many of the same musical legends who had once been his inspiration. In so doing, he now assumes his rightful place in a new generation of guitar virtuosos who are destined to carry on the great blues tradition!
