Wartime Afternoon Album Release with SPIRALS and JC Juice

July 21, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

Wartime Afternoon

Wartime Afternoon began as a project by Joe Slagel and Alex Garcia. Many different musicians would show up to a location and they would have an afternoon of music and jam sessions. After this went on for about a year and a half, Joe and Alex agreed it was time to form a set in stone band. After the spring semester begin to come to an end, Wartime Afternoon had a chance to open at College Station’s Starlight Music Festival. This was held at the biggest venue in town other than Kyle Field itself. It was also our last show playing with our good friends in the band Greg, and Evan. They both graduated and decided to embark on separate journeys throughout the country. After playing a couple shows during the summer of 2017, it was time to begin recording an album. Furthermore, said album will be released by the end of this spring at the latest in 2018. Our first single ‘Tally Ho’ from the debut album is live as of February 3rd, 2018. This single features our former bassist Leo on the track as well. This was the last work he was able to finish with us prior to graduating and moving across country.
