There is no better way to describe Trannie Stevens songs than relatable, true, addicting, haunting, and the real deal. After winning the 2012 Texas Music Hall of Fame Collegiate Songwriter of the Year in late May, this singer-songwriter has taken the music world by storm. She recently has been making the rounds through coffee shops and venues throughout Texas after releasing her EP with Uproar Records at Baylor University. Although Trannie is new to the scene, one would never guess. Her fan-base is rapidly spreading because of wonderful people just like you who have stumbled upon her, and have found that there’s something truly unique about this girl. Trannie experiments with piano based pop with a subtle, sassy jazz influence. If you love Sara Bareilles than you are sure to love this intriguing new artist.
Megan Levering is a singer/songwriter from Sugar Land, TX. She became interested in music at age 13 when her mother asked her to learn to plan an instrument. Megan chose guitar and soon began taking lessons from a gifted teacher who was to become her mentor – Chad Martin. Through guitar and her God-given creativity, Megan began to express her thoughts and heart through songwriting. A prolific songwriter, Megan makes it her goal to write a new song every day. She enjoys spending time playing her guitar, singing, and composing but also loves to do covers.
Through Chad Martin, Megan was introduced to producer Chris Cullins (ChrisCullinsMusic.com) and was soon recording her first EP, “Megan Levering,” which was released in November of 2011. The next year, Megan and Chris hit the studio again, this time producing a full-length CD entitiled “Pieces of My Heart,” released in January, 2013. Megan is excited about her new songs because they take a whole new approach to her songwriting, showcasing a greater maturity and passion. Both of Megan’s albums are available on ITunes and all other major digital distributors. Also, keep up with Megan’s songwriting on YouTube where she often posts songs that haven’t gone to production.
Megan is currently a student at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where she is studying Business and busy with various campus organizations. Megan still takes the time to practice music every day, write new songs, and perform whenever and wherever possible! She is a frequent worship leader and enjoys using her music to glorify the Lord.
