Ishi released their debut record “Through The Trees” May, 2010 & received two awards in the 2010 Dallas Observer Music Awards for “Best New Act”&”Best Electronic/Dance Act”. In 2011 the band was nominated again for “Best Electronic/Dance Act”& received the award on 10/18/11. THE 71’S

Anthemic pop hooks; explosive guitars with electric riffs; a bashing, crashing rhythm section of brotherly love; and a sense of purpose fortified by a faith in the transformative power and community of rock and roll – welcome to the loud, proud, wild and wonderful world of the 71′s. The story begins with the debut full-length (2009’s We Are Locomotive) and gathers steam with “Start Again” – a hard-charging lead single about the unstoppable force of redemption. Along with its accompanying video, a hilarious “hostile corporate takeover” of the aisles of an unsuspecting Wal-Mart, the band’s collective efforts were quickly noticed. The year ended with Houston’s leading alternative radio station (“The Buzz” – 94.5 FM) naming The 71′s “Best New Band in Houston.” Encouraged by the love of the local media and a growing loyal fan base hungry for new material, the band set its sights on the lofty goal of three EPs in a single year. The first, Rock And Roll Reaction, Vol. 1 (RRRv1), was released in October 2010. It was described by The Houston Press as “purely rock and roll, devil-may-care attitude – an unpretentious and sincere jamboree of power chords and youth energy” and was met with the same kind of enthusiasm on the road as in their East Texas backyard. Furthermore, “All Tied Up,” RRRv1’s unforgettable lead track of equal parts AC/DC and early Tom Petty, was selected by Houston’s CBS affiliate as the soundtrack tune for the Houston Texans, lending the band even greater visibility in the market. The second installment in the EP series, Rock and Roll Reaction Vol. 2, made its debut July 12th. Written, recorded and produced by The 71′s, this heart-pulsing, fist-pumping collection of songs, including “Get Up And Dance” and “Diamond Heart,” contains the pure blood rock and roll that The 71′s are known for. The record’s stand-out track turning heads all across Texas is “Angel Eyes,” which is heavy influenced by Stone Temple Pilots and Led Zeppelin. The song paints a portrait of a life dealing with demons based on C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters, and it is as lyrically provocative as it is melodically addictive. The 71′s are taking over Texas with their electric sound and thrilling live show. With club and festival dates booking through 2011, best to keep an ear to the ground for Keeton, Cecil and the Lisenbe brothers on Rock And Roll Reaction, Vol. 2 – available at www.the71s.com and anywhere music is sold online.

GOBI

The story of GOBI begins in west Texas, in the far border town of El Paso, where Justin Dillon and Phil Arciniega first met. The two would venture across the border every weekend spending countless nights dancing in the clubs and Discotecas on “The Strip” in Ciudad Juarez. There the thriving grooves and uptempo beats would take them on many sleepless nights and instill an unstoppable curiosity and desire to create electronic dance music. GOBI’s hybrid of EDM mixed with lyrically driven hooks, has been compared to “RATATAT fronted by Zack De la Rocha”, and has gained GOBI the reputation for turning any room into a dance party. The bands highly anticipated debut LP is set to be released in the fall of 2012.
